I’m sure we’ve all had the problem of the big lever not working and having to resort to putting your finger in to push the white plastic trigger plate to release the big lever! This problem is caused by the trigger plate not having enough friction to grip the adjacent steel work, the friction governed by an M4 bolt, washer & spring bearing on the trigger plate. The best way to get at this bolt is to remove the centre black trim panel, have someone to hold the bike up and release both of the levers, so the stand is up, this brings the bolt into a position to be able to tighten it one or two flats. The 3mm Allen key needs to be shortened a bit to engage the key as per the photo.
Thanks for the tip - saves taking a lot of trim panels off.
